We thought it would be interesting
to follow a project from
start to finish.
This home has been a long time in the planning.
Follow along as we watch the dream unfold. |

Building our Dreamhome- High
Bluff View
Our vision began with wanting
to bring the outdoors in – the trees, water, sky,
mountains and wildlife. Our architect, Richard
Rhydes, said “It sounds like we should start
with a roof and glass”. Barb visualized three pavilions
consisting of a master retreat, great room, and guest house
all experiencing the expansive view through floor to ceiling windows.
The construction and design
elements chosen were stone, glass, and wood that capture
the tones of the forest,
and the beach.
An open floor plan that flows through “not too big”, “not
too small”, but “just right room sizes”. The
main house and guest house are a one level design with no barriers.
This design fits our current active lifestyle and accommodates
possible future disabilities.
