This property was the site of a summer lodge used by fishermen in the early 1900s. The owners shared old photos of the lodge with Architect Ross Chapin, who took fine advantage of the original hipped roof and wraparound porch, the serene waterfront property and the sweeping views.

The porch is a favorite gathering spot for the family in fine weather, and the many windows bring in plenty of light all year round. The Brazilian Cherry floors and the Mahogany windows contrast sharply with the all white walls.
The clerestory windows high in the great room provide extra light.  One of the family's favorite features is the Compass Rose inlaid in the center of the Great Room floor. This is a place for the whole family to gather.
